Really Fast Forward Scarf

Just wanted to spread the word about a great scarf pattern - Fast Forward by Natalie Servant.

I promised Mr Verdigris Knits a new scarf to walk the dog in.  He requested something soft in plain navy in a plain stitch pattern.  A fun knit indeed!  I grabbed my stitch dictionaries to try to find some pattern that would at least keep me a little motivated.  Showing him pictures of the different pattern swatches was like having him look at Rorschach tests.   And none of them struck his fancy like good ole 2 by 2 ribbing.    I was just about to resign myself to 6 feet of k2p2 rinse and repeat, when I found Natalie's Fast Forward pattern on Ravelry.  It was perfect: mostly 2 x 2 rib, with a wonderful, symmetrical, architectural cable design on each end.  Hah - something for both of us.

The scarf is knit from the center out so that the ends are identical.  I was able to complete the scarf with 3, 50-g balls of Knit Picks Capra (~370 yds) - a wonderfully soft dk weight merino and cashmere blend - in colorway admiral.  Getting to the cables provides plenty of motivation to get through the plain rib.  The pattern is extremely well done with both charted and written instructions.
